Every new business registered in the
UK
should register with the British tax authority (Her Majesty Revenue and Customs) and reply to correspondence and enquiries from the Companies House and HMRC.
At the end of your financial year you will be required to file your accounts with HMRC and the Companies House. You must file your accounts and a tax return even if your company hasn’t made any taxable profits.
What's included in a Company Tax Return?
The company tax return should include the following statutory documents:
Your company has to pay Corporation Tax on the taxable profits it makes in its Corporation Tax accounting period. An accounting period is usually (but not always) the same as the period for which your company or organisation's accounts are prepared and normally lasts for a year.
The pre-tax profit shown in your company or organisation's accounts is only the starting point. You'll have to adjust that accounting profit to arrive at:
your taxable profits or 'profits chargeable to Corporation Tax'
the amount of Corporation Tax payable - your 'self assessment'
the actual Corporation Tax to pay after taking into account tax already paid, tax credits and similar.
From 1 April 2011, all businesses are obliged to file their Corporation Tax electronically for any accounting period. And from the same date, businesses must also file their Company Tax Return online - including supporting documentation - for accounting periods ending after 31 March 2010.
We can deliver your Company Tax Return to HMRC online or your paper return will be submitted for you by post. Completing a tax return can be stressful experience, even if there are only a few transactions to record. Businesses are normally faced with several filing deadlines to meet, depending on personal circumstances and as you approach those deadlines life may become more stressful.
In addition we will produce your self assessment tax return to see if any tax savings can be made and we can also review the form to see if there are any issues that need to be addressed. This will minimise your risk of a Revenue enquiry into your tax affairs.
We offer competitive prices and flexible conditions of service to our customers taking into account your needs and concerns in relation to your tax affairs.
Please email us with your enquiry at enquiry@nvkgroup.co.uk
By giving you a fixed, competitive price and providing that you supply the relevant information within a reasonable time scale, we can take the worry away when it comes to self assessment tax returns, allowing you to concentrate on running your business and generating more profit.
We will be happy to provide full support and act on your behalf doing all the above for you.
